English soccer star Michelle Agyemang, darts player Luke Littler and batswoman Davina Perrin have been named as finalists for the this year's Young Sports Star of the Year award.

The trio have been honoured for their outstanding achievements over the past 12 months.

Agyemang helped the Lionesses secure Euro 2025, Littler claimed the world title for the very first time, and Perrin surged to prominence with a historic innings.

Littler was the recipient in 2024 after his breakthrough year.

The three contenders were unveiled on a national radio breakfast show.

This year's winner will be announced during a live broadcast on the prestigious sports ceremony show on Thursday, 18 December.

The show will be televised from seven in the evening GMT.

Agyemang's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Football

Only 90 days after her first cap for her country, Agyemang played a dramatic and decisive role in England's run to European Championship victory.

She came off the bench to score vital last-gasp goals in both the knockout stage games.

Agyemang's stunning interventions led to her being named the tournament's top young talent.

Later in the year, she was awarded the Golden Girl award for the top young European talent.

She was also in contention for the Kopa Trophy for the planet's top young female footballer.

Agyemang, who has been on loan at Brighton from Arsenal, suffered an ACL injury in October.

"Being nominated for Young Sports Personality of the Year is a privilege," said Agyemang. "I thank God and I'm thankful for the support I've received from my family, coaches, team-mates and fans."

The Darts Prodigy

Age: 18 Sport: Darts

Littler kicked off the year in sensational style as - aged 17 - he became the most youthful world title winner in history.

He secured a dominant victory over Michael van Gerwen in the final.

His follow-up triumph at the World Matchplay made him only the fifth player to complete the prestigious PDC Triple Crown.

His success continued - his victory at November's Grand Slam of Darts meant he reached world number one for the first time.

At 18, he is the youngest man to do so, smashing the previous record.

"Being nominated for this award again is a massive accolade," stated Littler. "Winning last year was a highlight for me and I've had another incredible 12 months. I want to continue raising the profile of darts."

Perrin's Profile

Age: 19 Sport: Cricket

Perrin is one of English cricket's most exciting young talents and surged to prominence with an extraordinary and record-breaking innings in August.

Her magnificent 42-ball century in The Hundred is the quickest ever by an English female in T20s.

It also stands as the joint third-fastest women's T20 century in a top-tier competition.

Perrin came in second place in the batting rankings and was named PCA Women's Young Player of the Year.

"I'm incredibly grateful to be nominated for the Young Sports Personality of the Year award," expressed Perrin. "It's a very special feeling. I hope it motivates more girls to get into cricket."
