Latest Refinery Assault Shows 'Zero Secure Locations in the Russian Far Hinterland'
Ukrainian UAVs have hit Russia's oil refinery in Ufa, located approximately 1,400 kilometres from Ukraine, triggering explosions and a blaze, according to a source in the Ukrainian intelligence agency.
This constitutes the third Ukrainian security service far-reaching assault in Bashkortostan in the past month. These operations illustrate that there are no secure zones in the far hinterland of the Russia.
Zelenskyy Appeals to US President to Broker Truce in Ukraine

A pair of individuals were killed inside a religious building in Kostyantynivka when it was hit, per regional officials.
In Russia's border region of the Belgorod region, a truck driver was killed by a drone assault, per municipal sources.
Energy Restoration Efforts in Kyiv
Efforts continued on the weekend to recover electricity in Kyiv, after strikes by Moscow.
Electricity had been restored to in excess of 800,000 inhabitants by the weekend and the major utility provider announced the primary work to recover electricity was finished though certain disruptions persisted.
Anti-Aircraft Actions and Drone Downings
Ukraine's air defences downed or disrupted 54 out of seventy-eight Russian drones deployed against the country in the dark hours, the military reported on the weekend.
Russia's military authorities said it eliminated 42 enemy UAVs from Ukraine over Russian territory.
Cuban Government Refutes Accusations of Deploying Soldiers to Ukraine
Havana on Saturday refuted American claims it has provided troops to participate in the Ukraine war, while stating the government "are without accurate information about Cuban nationals" participating "voluntarily" or "in the military forces of both sides".
The government department in the capital said 26 nationals had been given prison terms to jail sentences ranging from five up to fourteen years for participating as mercenaries since the autumn of 2023 when reports circulated of Cubans being sent to the front in the conflict.
Surrender Initiative Initiative Discloses Data on Cuban National Recruitment
The surrender initiative, a official Kyiv program that promotes adversaries to give up, stated in May: "We reliably know the identities and information of 1,028 Cubans who entered into agreements with the Russian armed forces in the past two years."
The government in Havana commented of those who might be engaged: "There is no doubt that none of them have the encouragement, dedication, or authorization of the government in Havana for their actions."
Family members of Cubans who left for the Russian Federation in 2023 told international media at the time that their family members had been tricked into joining through ads on digital networks.
