Iranian Forces State Strike on American Facility in Bahrain, Amid Regional Military Operations.

Iranian forces say they have struck a US naval base in Manama, as the country executed strikes across the region in retaliation for a significant and ongoing offensive targeting the nation by the United States and Israeli forces.

Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area near the headquarters of the American Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any destruction is uncertain and the American officials has remained silent.

Airspace Engagements

Elsewhere across the region, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar and the State of Kuwait - which all house US military bases - stated they have intercepted missiles in their air space.

In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had intercepted several missiles apparently targeting the al-Udeid air base, the biggest US military installation in the Middle East.

Iran's Declared Retaliation

The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said in a statement it was targeting American facilities and interests as part of operation "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on Iran launched by the US and Israel on Saturday.

That US-Israeli operation - executed at approximately 09:15 Iran time - has so far focused on sites linked to the Tehran's leadership, with President Trump calling on the people of Iran to rise up against the government.

Additional Developments

In Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had identified an incoming Iranian missile barrage.

The Ministry of Defence of the UAE said in a statement that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with high efficiency and shot down a number of missiles," the statement continued.

The statement noted wreckage landed in a populated district in Abu Dhabi, causing some structural damage and fatalities.

The US Air Force operates from Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the UAE Air Force.
